RGV,

We know things are changing with vaccinations and masks, and we wanted to take some time and review guidelines and think about what will work best for our team and our customers. Below you’ll find our next shift as a company.

The health and safety of our guests and team members have been Holiday’s top priority throughout the pandemic, and we’ve closely and consistently followed the CDC’s recommendations over time.

Given the CDC’s updated guidance, beginning on June 14t, Holiday will no longer require fully vaccinated guests and team members to wear face coverings in our stores, except where local ordinances require it. This will be an honor system as Holiday will not be verifying vaccinations.

Face coverings continue to be strongly recommended for guests and team members who are not fully vaccinated. We continue our increased safety and cleaning measures, including social distancing, throughout our stores. Of course, even if you are vaccinated, you are welcome to continue wearing a mask if that’s your comfort level.

We continue to invest significantly in expanded safety, social distancing, and rigorous cleaning routines, including:

  • Frequently disinfecting and cleaning our stores throughout the day, focusing on high touch areas like countertops and registers, and door handles.

  • Stationing a team member at each store entrance to clean and disinfect carts and baskets between each use.

  • Frequently cleaning each register and providing hand sanitizer for our guests.

  • Installing Plexiglass partitions at each register.

  • Providing team members with face masks.

  • Strongly recommending face coverings for unvaccinated guests and team members in Holiday stores.

  • Actively monitoring and metering guest traffic to promote social distancing and ensure a safe shopping environment.

  • Installing hand washing sinks at the front of each store.

  • Offering home delivery and curbside shopping options.

  • Reminding guests about social distancing by using signs, floor stickers and audio messages in our stores.

We want to thank you for being amazing through these last 1.5 years. COVID was tough, but you were tougher. You had to shift and adjust and deal with a lot of unknowns. That is so hard, and we thank you for doing your best and being part of our community. Let’s do our best, together.

Thank you. (June 3rd, 2021)
