Wine of the Month

Wine Selection: Twenty Bench Cabernet Sauvignon .750ml- $15.99

Twenty Bench Cabernet , in many respects, is chameleon like in character as it changes flavor profiles in the glass about four times while you're sipping. Little of this wine is seen in the local retail environment, but Holiday has some! Much is gobbled up by winemakers who live in Napa Valley and by fine restaurants where it is largely poured by the glass. Once you taste it you are NOT going to believe you are drinking a $15 Cab.

Liquor Selections:

Liquor of the Month

Ketel One Citroen .750 ml- $19.99

This version of Ketel One is flavored with lemon.  Surprisingly, though, there's nothing sugary, saccharin, or over the top about it's taste.  Too often flavored vodkas are made to taste like Kool-Aid. As with Ketel One, Citroen is extraordinarily smooth.  The lemon note is present, but not overly so, and it finishes smooth and dry.

Liquor of the Month

Ketel One Oranje .750ml- $19.99

Ketel One Oranje, the newest child, uses oils from Valencia oranges grown in Florida and Brazil, and Mandarin oranges from Italy. The oranges are machine abraded (scored like a peel), then cold pressed. The oils are infused in the tile tank after the vodka has been distilled. At home, a straight neat shot, chilled or not, generates a coughing fit. After resting with a large ice cube in an old fashioned glass, it improves into viability. This is one of those spirits that needs some ice and mixer friends to party.
